Aleksandra (Sasha) Bukacheva, CFA is a seasoned investment professional and corporate director with deep expertise in the global mining and natural resources sector. She currently serves as Chief Investment Officer at Amphora Investment Management, where she oversees discretionary investment strategies for family offices, trusts, insurance companies, high-net-worth individuals, and institutional funds.
With a strong foundation in both capital markets and operational mining environments, Aleksandra has built a distinguished career bridging investment analysis and corporate leadership. She has published extensive research on approximately 40 publicly listed mining companies over a seven-year period and has conducted on-the-ground evaluations of more than 50 mining, smelting, and refining operations across Africa, the Americas, Europe, and Central Asia.
Her industry recognition includes being ranked among the top base metals sell-side analysts globally in the 2016 Brendan Wood survey of institutional money managers. In addition to her investment career, she has hands-on experience in the management of a junior mining company, where she played a key role in facilitating access to capital markets.
Aleksandra serves on the board of US GoldMining Inc., where she chairs the Audit Committee, and on the board of Probe Metals Inc., where she chairs both the Technical Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
She holds a multidisciplinary academic background spanning mining engineering, financial and investment analysis, economics, and public policy, and is a CFA charterholder. Aleksandra is bilingual in English and Russian, with working knowledge of Spanish, French, and German.
