Carolina is a lawyer specialized in advising corporations and family businesses in the areas of tax consulting, national and international tax planning, and family wealth management. Additionally, she has worked supporting foreign companies from various industries in establishing their businesses in Colombia through strategic tax advice for subsequent implementation in the country. She is a founding partner of Cañón & Cañón Abogados (2007), from which Cañón Thompson was born as part of a corporate reorganization process to give rise to a phase of greater sophistication and growth. She has been recognized on several occasions as a leading lawyer in the field of Private Wealth Law and Taxes in Colombia by prestigious international rankings. Currently, she is the Academic Director and professor of the course “Family Wealth Management: An Interdisciplinary Legal Vision” at the University of Los Andes.
