Felipe Jaramillo, CFA, CAIA, CMT, CIPM, Director, is a Product Strategist for the Portfolio Management Group (PMG) covering the wealth segment in Latin America. He is responsible for leading and executing the commercial strategy of BlackRock’s active platform in the region which encompasses Fundamental and Systematic investing across Fixed Income, Equities and Multi-Asset Strategies.

Before joining BlackRock, Mr. Jaramillo held the role of Senior Discretionary Portfolio Manager at Santander Private Bank. He managed a Liquid Alternative Fund of Funds delivering an absolute return with a low correlation to equity and fixed income markets. He also managed a concentrated US equities fund with a quality bias according to the 3 main pillars: earnings’ quality, robust business model and responsible corporate management. Mr. Jaramillo also conducted in-depth quantitative analysis to support investment team meetings and strategic decision-making.

He is a senior investment professional with 15+ years of experience in the financial services industry and holds the following professional certifications and designations: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Charterholder, Certified Investment Performance Measurement Analyst (CIPM) Charterholder and Chartered Market Technician (CMT). Mr. Jaramillo has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the Universidad Externado de Colombia.
